The type of shower valve you choose to install inside your shower enclosure, or above your bath, may depend to some degree on your existing plumbing. For instance, if all your bathroom taps are tank fed and you have no mains pressure water running near to your bathroom, an electric shower is probably not the best option.
If you prefer to avoid the big white box on the wall associated with electric or power showers, a more attractive option may be to use a shower valve or shower panel. These may require the installation of a shower pump to boost your water pressure to an acceptable level.
