Suite Dreams

Choosing the right suite is the natural starting point when planning your new bathroom.  Many of the other design choices you make will involve choosing styles that complement your chosen suite.

Traditional vs Contemporary

This choice will often depend on the type of property you live in. If you live in a “new build” house with modern fixtures and fittings, you will probably decide to continue this theme with a contemporary bathroom suite. If you house has period features, then a traditional style suite may be what you’re looking for.

That said, mixing and matching traditional and contemporary styles is a popular look at present. If done correctly, traditional and contemporary styles can look great along side each other in the same bathroom. You don’t necessary have to follow the convention of making your bathroom design fit rest of your home.

Many modern homes contain en-suite bathrooms.  Some homes have spaces that would be perfect for converting to an en-suite.  To cater for this demand, most manufacturers have created suites with compact design options such as corner basins/WCs and shorter baths. See Ideal Standard Space and Niagara Ratio suites for ideas.
